My Anosmia Coffee Perspective
Coffee=Love.
(I’m on my third cup as I post this).
And even though I can’t smell it, I really enjoy it.
I remember I used to feel like I was missing out on how great everyone said it smells
It was a bit of a bummer but, one day I said “no more!” I changed my perspective to focus on what I CAN enjoy about it…
For example, I can SEE it’s rich, dark color…I can FEEL the warm cup in my hands on a chilly day (and also the cold effects of holding an iced coffee in the summer) I can HEAR it being poured and feeling the joy of another refill.
Knowing this, I savor my daily cups even more.
Coffee is a gift. One that transforms me into a focused, happy and excited person.

Regarding your Coffee=Love post: Thank you for getting it to the heart. In all aspects of our lives we always should focus on the things we have or can do and not on those we miss.
Although we can’t smell anything, we still have a few other senses. I love to swim and enjoy FEELING the fresh water around my body and how my muscles work, WATCHING the small waves that form on the surface of the water and HEARING the rustling of leaves in the trees and the birds singing.
That means enjoyment with all our remaining senses.
